Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (4 oz.)
  • 2 slices cooked ham (1 oz. each)
  • 2 slices Jackstring or Muenster cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. seasoned dried bread crumbs
  • 1/8 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. melted butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. To form a pocket, cut each chicken breast in half horizontally, almost but not all the way through.
  2. Cut each ham and cheese slice lengthwise in half.
  3. Place a slice of ham and cheese in each pocket of the chicken breasts.
  4. Combine the seasoned dried bread crumbs and paprika in a small bowl.
  5. Brush each chicken breast with melted butter or margarine.
  6. Coat the buttered chicken breasts with the seasoned bread crumbs mixture.
