Ingredients
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded ⓘ
- 1 cup green onion bottoms, chopped
- 1 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1 cup bell pepper, finely chopped ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped ⓘ
- 1 (10 oz.) package green peas, unthawed ⓘ
- 2 cups mayonnaise ⓘ
- 1 (2 oz.) package Hidden Valley salad dressing, dry ⓘ
Instructions
- In a flat 13 x 9-inch glass dish, place the shredded iceberg lettuce as the first layer and press down.
- Spread the chopped green onion bottoms evenly over the lettuce layer.
- Add the finely chopped celery on top of the green onions and press down.
- Spread the finely chopped bell pepper over the celery and press down.
- Drain and chop the water chestnuts, then layer them over the bell pepper.
- Spread the green peas evenly over the water chestnuts.
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the dry Hidden Valley salad dressing until well combined.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture over the peas layer.
- Sprinkle the dry Hidden Valley salad dressing evenly over the mayonnaise layer.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight before serving.
