Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak, without fat removed
  • 1 piece short rib with bone in
  • 2 large garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 fresh broccoli leaves, chopped
  • 4 sprigs fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Spread the meat with chopped garlic, parsley, and chopped broccoli leaves.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Roll up the meat like a jelly roll and tie with butcher's string.
  4. Brown the rolled meat in a little oil and water on top of the stove along with the short rib.
  5. Lower the heat and continue cooking until the meat is done.
  6. Slice and serve, or add whole to meat sauce for extra flavor.
