Brandy Snaps

Deliciously crisp and sweet brandy snaps with warm ginger flavor, perfect for serving with whipped cream at special gatherings or as a delightful treat for guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. butter
  • 4 oz. sugar
  • 4 oz. golden syrup
  • 4 oz. flour
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar; beat in syrup.
  2. Sift in flour and ground ginger and mix.
  3. Place a teaspoon of mixture at a time on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Spread the mixture out into thin circles.
  5. Bake at 350°F (180°C) until pale brown, approximately 8 minutes.
  6. When just cool enough to handle, curl around a broom handle and leave until cool and set.
  7. Twenty minutes prior to serving, fill with whipped cream.
