A hearty breakfast casserole combining flaky crescent rolls, savory sausage, cheesy goodness, and herbs, perfect for weekend brunch or family mornings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent rolls
  • 1 pound pork sausage links
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1 cup shredded or grated Cheddar cheese
  • mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place unrolled crescent rolls on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch lightly sprayed or buttered pan.
  3. Cover with a layer of cooked and cut sausage links.
  4. In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, oregano, and basil.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage layer.
  6. Sprinkle shredded or grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  8. Let rest and set for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
