A decadent overnight breakfast treat featuring layers of bread, cinnamon sugar, butterscotch pudding, and pecans, baked to golden perfection for a sweet start to the day.

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread, thawed slightly and sliced thin
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 package butterscotch pudding mix (not prepared)
  • Pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a bundt pan by greasing it well.
  2. Mix together the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Layer the butterscotch pudding and pecans (if using) in the prepared pan.
  4. Dip bread slices in melted margarine, then coat with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  5. Layer the coated bread slices in the pan over the pudding and pecans.
  6. Cover the pan and let it stand overnight in the refrigerator.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly, then invert onto a warm plate to serve.
