Instructions
- Combine 1 cup flour, milk, and sourdough starter; mix well.
- Cover and let stand all day or overnight at room temperature.
- Spread 1 cup flour on a work surface.
- Pour the dough onto the floured surface.
- Sift over 1/2 cup flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Knead lightly until combined.
- If too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
- Pat or roll the dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits with a cutter, then pat both sides with butter or oil.
- Place biscuits close together in a pan.
- Let rise for 1/2 hour.
- Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
