Ingredients

  • 1 strip unsalted saltines
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 6 Hershey chocolate bars

Instructions

  1. Spray an 11 x 17-inch pan with Pam.
  2. Lay saltines in a single layer on the bottom of the pan.
  3. Melt butter and sugar together.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Pour the hot mixture over the saltines.
  6. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and immediately lay chocolate bars on top to melt.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the surface.
  9. Sprinkle nuts over the top.
  10. Cool in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  11. Once cooled, cut into pieces with a pizza cutter or break into pieces like brittle.
