A flaky, buttery pastry wrapped around creamy Brie cheese, perfect for elegant appetizers or entertaining, with crispy phyllo layers and rich melted cheese flavor.

Ingredients

  • 12 sheets phyllo
  • 1 lb unsalted sweet butter
  • 1 (5 lb) Brie cheese

Instructions

  1. Butter a baking sheet.
  2. Use 5 sheets of phyllo and brush each sheet with melted butter.
  3. Place Brie cheese on the phyllo sheet, then pull up the edges and tuck them in.
  4. Repeat with additional sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter as you go.
  5. Place the Brie, tucked sides down, on the prepared phyllo.
  6. Pull the edges up and tuck them around the cheese.
  7. Fold the remaining phyllo into a 1-inch strip and wrap it around to make a flower shape. Brush with butter.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until golden and crispy.
