Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. red pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. allspice
  • beef brisket

Instructions

  1. Mix salt, red pepper, black pepper, garlic salt, paprika, and allspice in a bowl.
  2. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of the beef brisket, applying the fat side last.
  3. Place the brisket in a pan, fatty side up, and cover with heavy-duty foil or use a roasting pan with a lid.
  4. Bake the brisket for 10 to 12 hours until tender.
  5. Alternatively, the brisket can be cooked on a grill.
