Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh broccoli
  • 1/2 lb. fresh carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a pan over high heat, steam 1 pound of fresh broccoli and 1/2 pound of sliced carrots for 10 minutes or until tender.
  2. In a small pan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of crushed garlic, 1/2 teaspoon each of black pepper, basil, and tarragon; cook for 1 minute.
  4. Drain the steamed broccoli and carrots and pour the butter mixture over the vegetables.
  5. Toss to combine and serve.
