Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh broccoli
  • 4 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • red pepper flakes
  • 1 lb. linguini
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut flowerets from the broccoli and peel the stalks, then cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
  2. Steam the broccoli in a small amount of salted water until crisp-tender.
  3. Cook the linguini according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  6. Add the steamed broccoli to the skillet and toss to combine.
  7. Combine the cooked linguini with the broccoli mixture.
  8. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
