Ingredients

  • 1 pink grapefruit
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. softened butter or margarine
  • a sprinkle of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler.
  2. Cut the pink grapefruit in half.
  3. Loosen the sections with a grapefruit knife and discard any seeds.
  4. Place the grapefruit halves in a shallow baking dish, cut side up.
  5. In a small bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and nutmeg until smooth.
  6. Dot the butter mixture evenly over the grapefruit halves.
  7. Broil about 4 inches from the heat until the topping is melted, bubbly, and slightly browned, approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
