Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) package Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tub Betty Crocker rich and creamy vanilla ready to spread frosting
  • 3/4 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
  • 3 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan or spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, stir together the brownie mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until blended.
  3. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 28 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from oven and cool for about 1 hour.
  6. Frost the cooled brownies with the vanilla frosting.
  7. Sprinkle the coarsely chopped salted peanuts over the frosting.
  8. Meanwhile, make the cereal mixture by combining the crisp rice cereal, peanut butter, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  9. Refrigerate the frosted brownies while preparing the cereal mixture.
  10. Spread the cereal mixture evenly over the peanut-topped frosting before serving.
