Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs bottom round, top round or beef roast of choice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Cut the beef roast into strips and add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  3. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
  4. Remove beef strips from marinade and arrange on dehydrator trays.
  5. Dehydrate for 6 to 9 hours, depending on the thickness of the strips, until dry and jerky-like.
