Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage (kielbasa)
  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 head cabbage
  • salt
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Slice potatoes into the skillet and sprinkle with salt.
  2. Slice onion over the potatoes.
  3. Slice sausage into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet.
  4. Shred cabbage and place on top of the ingredients in the skillet, then cover.
  5. Add salt to the cabbage to taste.
  6. Simmer until the cabbage is tender and the dish starts bubbling and squeaking.
  7. A little water may be added five minutes before serving to loosen the potatoes from the pan.
