- Fry the ground round burgers on medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes until semi-done, then pour off excess grease and remove the burgers.
- Cook red onions in the remaining grease for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add syrup, sauce, and Hellmann's Dijonnaise mustard to the onions and mix until the mixture is liquid.
- Return the burgers to the skillet and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Place the burgers on buns and top with the remaining juices for open-face sandwiches or add your favorite burger fixings and sauce.
