A flavorful vegetable side dish combining green beans, water chestnuts, and bean sprouts, topped with Parmesan cheese and crispy fried onion rings, perfect for buffets and family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 (16 oz.) cans French-cut green beans, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
  • 1 (16 oz.) can bean sprouts, drained
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 18 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 (3 oz.) can French fried onion rings

Instructions

  1. Mix the drained green beans, sliced water chestnuts, bean sprouts, and grated Parmesan cheese together in a bowl.
  2. Add the melted butter to the mixture and stir well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake at 300°F for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is heated through.
  4. Just before serving, sprinkle the French fried onion rings over the top for added crunch.
