Tips & Substitutions

For a smoother texture, ensure the chocolate and butterscotch chips melt completely before mixing in the peanut butter. If you're out of creamy peanut butter, crunchy peanut butter can add an interesting texture. You can also substitute the roasted peanuts with other nuts like almonds or walnuts for a different flavor. For a richer taste, try adding a pinch of sea salt to the chocolate mixture.

Serving Suggestions

Cut the Bun Bars into small squares for easy serving and pair them with a glass of cold milk or coffee for a delightful treat. They also make a great addition to dessert platters alongside other treats like Aunt Opal's Crisp Cinnamon Cookies. Consider serving them at parties for a sweet surprise that all will enjoy.

Storage & Reheating

Store the Bun Bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can last for up to two weeks. To reheat, simply take out a square and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before enjoying. Avoid microwaving, as it may alter the texture.
