Ingredients

  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can onion soup
  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 (12 oz.) jar apricot preserves
  • 1 small bottle Russian dressing
  • 1 package Lipton onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. Mix apricot preserves and Russian dressing until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the Lipton onion soup mix and stir over a very low flame until well blended. Do not boil.
  3. Pour the sauce over the stew meat in a baking dish.
  4. Cover and bake at 325°F for 1.5 hours.
  5. Uncover and bake at 300°F for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Baste often during the baking process.
