Ingredients

  • 1 butter pecan cake mix
  • 1 coconut/pecan frosting mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Empty both the butter pecan cake mix and coconut/pecan frosting mix into a mixer bowl; add eggs, oil, and water. Mix on medium speed for two minutes.
  2. Add chopped nuts and coconut to the mixture and blend until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube or Bundt cake pan.
  4. Bake for 1 hour at 350°F (175°C).
  5. Remove from oven and cool in the pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack, if possible.
  6. Remove the cake from the pan and allow it to cool completely.
  7. Serve with powdered sugar or whipped topping if desired.
