- Empty both the butter pecan cake mix and coconut/pecan frosting mix into a mixer bowl; add eggs, oil, and water. Mix on medium speed for two minutes.
- Add chopped nuts and coconut to the mixture and blend until well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube or Bundt cake pan.
- Bake for 1 hour at 350°F (175°C).
- Remove from oven and cool in the pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack, if possible.
- Remove the cake from the pan and allow it to cool completely.
- Serve with powdered sugar or whipped topping if desired.
