Butterscotch Bubble Loaf(Coffee Cake)
A rich, buttery coffee cake with butterscotch flavor, topped with cherries, coconut, and nuts, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf Dakota Hearth white frozen bread dough, partially thawed ⓘ
- 1/2 cup nuts of your choice ⓘ
- 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted ⓘ
- 10 or 12 maraschino cherries (optional) ⓘ
- 1/2 cup coconut ⓘ
- 1 (3 to 3 1/2 oz.) package regular butterscotch pudding and pie filling ⓘ
- 1/4 cup brown sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ⓘ
Instructions
- Generously butter a 12-cup Bundt pan or 9 x 9-inch pan. Arrange cherries, if using, on the bottom.
- Sprinkle with coconut and nuts.
- Cut the loaf of bread into 24 pieces.
- Place the bread pieces in the prepared pan. Sprinkle with pudding mix, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Drizzle with the remaining melted butter.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until about double in size, approximately 3 to 4 hours.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes.
- Let stand for about a minute.
- Turn onto a plate or wire rack lined with waxed paper.
