Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix brown sugar, milk, salt, cornstarch, and egg yolks in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter once slightly cooled.
