Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups bread, broken into cube pieces
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • raisins to taste
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups milk

Instructions

  1. In a buttered 9 x 9-inch casserole dish, put the bread cubes.
  2. Sprinkle melted butter over the bread.
  3. Sprinkle raisins over the bread.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon over the raisins.
  5. Mix eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla, and milk; pour the mixture over the bread.
  6. Sprinkle a little more cinnamon over the top.
  7. Do not stir.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes.
