Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. corn oil
  • 1 lb. cabbage, cut up
  • 3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in heavy pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cabbage, carrots, onion and sugar.
  3. Cook, stirring, until very well browned and softened (vegetables should scorch a little).
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in soy sauce and vinegar.
  5. Serve hot.
