Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 2 or 3 carrots
  • 4 or 5 Irish potatoes
  • smoked sausage (links or cocktail)
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Place the bottom of an electric skillet or heavy skillet and layer the cabbage.
  2. Slice the carrots as desired and layer over the cabbage.
  3. Cut the potatoes into quarters and layer over the carrots and cabbage.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Layer the smoked sausage over the vegetables.
  6. Add just enough water to steam and cook until the vegetables and sausage are done.
