Cabbage Patch Soup(Our Favorite)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 2 c. shredded cabbage
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 cans red kidney beans
  • 1 large can tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Brown meat and onions; add celery and cabbage.
  2. Cook vegetables until clear or wilted.
  3. Add water and seasonings.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Add tomatoes and beans.
  6. Simmer for 1/2 hour.
