A hearty and flavorful cabbage and noodle dish featuring tender cabbage, sweet onions, and a tangy vinegar kick, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 bag noodles (1 lb. or so)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet or Dutch oven, cook butter and chopped onion over low heat until tender.
  2. Add chopped cabbage, sugar, salt, pepper, and vinegar to the pan.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat until the cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. While the cabbage mixture is cooking, boil the noodles in water until done.
  5. Drain the noodles and add them to the cabbage mixture.
  6. Mix well and serve hot.
