Ingredients

  • 2 packages pizza crust mix
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella, grated
  • Italian seasoning
  • 1 jar pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare pizza crust dough according to package directions and set aside to rise.
  2. In a skillet, cook hamburger until browned; add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Roll out the pizza crust dough into a circle or rectangle as preferred.
  4. Spread pizza sauce over one half of the dough.
  5. Top the sauce with cooked hamburger mixture and grated mozzarella cheese.
  6. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the fillings.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges.
  8. Place the calazone on a baking sheet and bake at the temperature specified on the crust package until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
