Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 2 cans green chilies
  • 2 lb. box Velveeta cheese, cut in cubes

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, sauté the chopped onion and garlic in the butter until translucent.
  2. Add the canned tomatoes and simmer for at least 1 hour to develop flavor.
  3. Add the green chilies and simmer for another hour.
  4. Stir in the Velveeta cheese cubes and cook on low heat until melted and smooth.
  5. Blend the mixture if desired for a smoother texture.
  6. Serve hot.
