Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup white syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large box Corn or Rice Chex
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Combine butter, white syrup, and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the syrup mixture over the cereal in a large, flat pan and stir well to coat evenly.
  4. Bake at 200°F (93°C) for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
