Ingredients

  • 1/2 bushel green beans
  • water
  • quart jars
  • jar lids
  • pressure canner

Instructions

  1. String and break green beans.
  2. Wash green beans and put them in clean jars.
  3. Cover beans with cold water and put lids on tight.
  4. Put jars in pressure canner and add water around the jars.
  5. Place lid on canner and heat on medium until it reaches 10 pounds pressure.
  6. Cook for 10 to 11 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
  7. Turn off heat and let the canner cool down.
  8. Remove jars and let them cool completely before storing.
