Ingredients

  • 1 large cantaloupe (3 lb.)
  • 4 1/2 cups orange juice, divided
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

Instructions

  1. Cut the cantaloupe into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Combine half of the cantaloupe cubes with 1/2 cup of orange juice and blend in a blender until smooth.
  3. Repeat with the remaining cantaloupe cubes and 1/2 cup of orange juice, blending until smooth.
  4. Mix the blended cantaloupe with the remaining 3 1/2 cups of orange juice, lemon juice, ginger, and allspice.
  5. Blend well to combine all ingredients.
  6. Cover and chill the soup.
  7. Serve cold in your prettiest bowls.
