- Line a 10-inch pie pan with pastry.
- Combine ground beef and sausage meat and cook, stirring, until meat particles separate, about 10 minutes.
- Boil potatoes and onion together until tender.
- Drain and mash the potatoes and onion, adding some of the potato liquid.
- Add allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt to taste, meat, and some of the pan drippings.
- Combine well.
- Turn the meat mixture into the pastry-lined pan.
- Cover with top crust and cut slits in the top.
- Bake at 425°F for 30 minutes.
- When reheating, use a 350°F oven for a few minutes.
