Ingredients

  • 1 (18.5 oz.) box Golden Butter Recipe cake mix
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 24 Kraft caramels, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F and line 24 muffin cups.
  2. Prepare cake mix as directed, substituting applesauce for water and beating in cinnamon.
  3. Spoon batter into lined muffin cups.
  4. Gently press a caramel into the center of each cupcake.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then remove cupcakes to wire rack to cool completely.
