Sweet, gooey caramel bubble bread combines soft bread dough with a rich caramel pudding filling, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a delightful treat for family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 small packages vanilla pudding (not instant)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch oblong pan.
  2. Thaw the bread dough but do not let it rise.
  3. Break one loaf of dough into small pieces and make a layer in the greased pan.
  4. Melt margarine and remove from heat.
  5. Add brown sugar, vanilla pudding mix, milk, and cinnamon to the melted margarine.
  6. Mix until blended.
  7. Pour the caramel mixture over the dough layer in the pan.
  8. Break the second loaf of dough over the filling.
  9. Cover and let rise for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
