Ingredients

  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. white or dark Karo syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Stir white sugar, Karo syrup, salt, and 1/2 cup of whipping cream constantly in a large pan until it boils.
  2. Add the other 1/2 cup of whipping cream and keep stirring on medium heat.
  3. Boil until a few drops in a cup of cold water form a firm ball.
  4. Remove from burner, add vanilla, and pour into a buttered Pyrex pie plate.
  5. When almost cool, cut into pieces.
