Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. chopped, peeled and cored apples
  • 1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Measure all but the last 2 ingredients into a large bowl.
  2. Mix on low speed of mixer, scraping the sides of the bowl.
  3. Fold in apples and chopped nuts.
  4. Spread batter in a greased, floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
  5. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean in a 350° oven.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes.
