Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix sugars and cornstarch in a pan.
  2. Slowly add half and half and butter, stirring constantly.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Boil for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans and vanilla.
  6. Cook for about 15 minutes before serving.
  7. Use as a dip for apples or pour over desserts.
