- Combine sugar, orange rind, orange juice, mace, and margarine. Spread over the bottom of an ungreased shallow pan.
- Place the brown-and-serve rolls upside down over the sugar mixture.
- Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Let the rolls stand in the pan until the syrup thickens, about 1 minute.
- Invert the pan and remove the rolls so the caramel-orange topping coats them.
