Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 12 brown-and-serve rolls

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, orange rind, orange juice, mace, and margarine. Spread over the bottom of an ungreased shallow pan.
  2. Place the brown-and-serve rolls upside down over the sugar mixture.
  3. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
  4. Let the rolls stand in the pan until the syrup thickens, about 1 minute.
  5. Invert the pan and remove the rolls so the caramel-orange topping coats them.
