Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, chilled
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together, including flour, sugar, baking powder, caraway seeds, and salt.
  2. Add chilled margarine and mix with hands until the mixture is crumbly.
  3. Pour in milk and add the egg, then mix all together to form a dough.
  4. Spray a baking pan with PAM or non-stick spray.
  5. Pat the dough into an 8-inch circle on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Using a knife, score the dough into eight wedges.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  9. Cut into 8 pie-shaped wedges along the score lines and serve.
