Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 2 2/3 c. water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. jello
  • 2 c. boiling water

Instructions

  1. Completely cover the cardboard box with heavy-duty aluminum foil and spray with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, and eggs. Pour the batter into the prepared cardboard box.
  3. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour or until done. Cool the cake completely.
  4. Prick holes about 1/2-inch apart all over the cooled cake with a chopstick.
  5. Mix the jello and boiling water until dissolved. Spoon the cooled jello mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
  6. Chill the cake for 4 hours or more.
  7. Cut the cake into slices and spread Cool Whip on top before serving.
