Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup canned milk or whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients into a bowl and use an eggbeater to mix thoroughly.
  2. Pour the mixture into an unbaked pie shell.
  3. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 45 to 55 minutes.
  4. About 10 minutes before the pie is done, add the topping mix in a circle approximately 2 inches from the outside crust.
  5. Return the pie to the oven to finish baking.
