Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup dates, chopped fine
  • 1 cup English walnuts or pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs well.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy.
  3. Add remaining ingredients: dates, walnuts, vanilla, coconut, and almond flavoring.
  4. Turn mixture into an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and while still hot, stir well with a wooden spoon.
  7. Cool the mixture.
  8. Form into small balls and roll in granulated sugar.
