Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 10 mushrooms, sliced lengthwise
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Spray a skillet with cooking spray.
  2. Sauté sliced mushrooms and minced onion until tender.
  3. Add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil.
  4. Pour in cauliflower florets, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in broccoli florets, cover, and cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring often.
  6. Reduce heat and add 1/2 cup water, sugar, and the cornstarch mixture until the sauce thickens.
