Ingredients

  • 4 cups celery, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained
  • slivered almonds
  • buttered bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook celery in a small amount of salted water until tender but crisp.
  2. Drain the celery and add the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, drained water chestnuts, and slivered almonds.
  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow 2-quart dish.
  4. Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs on top.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
