Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 cups uncooked rice
  • 2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons celery seed
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil one whole chicken until cooked through.
  2. Debone the chicken and strain the broth, discarding skin and bones.
  3. Add two cups of uncooked rice to the strained broth and cook according to package directions.
  4. Add the deboned chicken, two cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup, one can of Cream of Chicken Soup, chopped onion, celery seed, and black pepper to taste.
  5. Mix well and heat until thoroughly combined and hot.
  6. Serve hot as a comforting main dish.
