Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 36 green olives
  • Red pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix shredded Cheddar cheese and plain flour in a bowl.
  2. Add melted butter to the mixture and mix well.
  3. Form 1 teaspoon of the mixture around each green olive to shape into a ball.
  4. Place the cheese balls on a cookie sheet and chill for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Bake the cheese balls for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
