Ingredients

  • 6 oz. sharp cheese
  • 6 oz. garlic cheese
  • 4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. grits
  • 1/4 c. butter

Instructions

  1. Slice or tear cheese into small pieces.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil; slowly add grits.
  3. Bring to a second boil, reduce heat, and cook over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring.
  4. Add cheese and butter to grits, stirring until cheese melts.
  5. Pour into an ungreased casserole.
  6. Bake uncovered at 350° for 30 minutes.
