  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 5 Tbsp. onion powder
  • about 6 or 7 small pkg. pecan pieces

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly, using hands if necessary.
  2. Form the mixture into 10 to 12 rolls by rolling between hands.
  3. Roll each cheese log in pecan pieces poured onto a plate to coat.
  4. Place each roll into a Baggie and freeze until needed.
  5. Take out of freezer about an hour before serving.
  6. Serve with crackers.

Tips & Substitutions

For a flavorful twist, consider adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper for some heat. If you don’t have pecans, walnuts or almonds can also work well for coating. Ensure the cream cheese is softened to make mixing easier. If the mixture is too sticky, chill it in the fridge for 15-30 minutes before rolling. This recipe is perfect for holiday gatherings or as a snack during the festive season.

Serving Suggestions

Serve these cheese logs with an assortment of crackers for a delightful appetizer. Consider pairing them with a fruit platter or a selection of cured meats for a more substantial spread. They also pair beautifully with a refreshing salad or can be enjoyed alongside Carol'S Chocolate Pies for a sweet finish after your savory snacks.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover cheese logs in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. To enjoy them later, simply remove the desired number of logs and let them thaw in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. They can also be left out at room temperature for about an hour before serving to soften slightly, making them easier to slice.
